We produce a wide range of bakery and confectionary from our premises in Huntly, Aberdeenshire. This includes bread, rolls, cakes and biscuits and meat products (pies and sausage rolls. etc.)

Over the years we have always striven to provide our customers with the best possible product. At the start of this new century we aim to continue this process and are introducing both new products and new packaging so that our products reach you in first class condition.
We bake our goods daily using top quality ingredients, so whether it's a sweet Rice Biscuit or a savoury Cheese Oatcake pack from our new range of biscuits, you'll find something to tickle your taste buds.
Delivering to your door
Delivering freshly baked goods is as much an art as producing them. Wherever you are in the North and North East of Scotland we ensure that your order is delivered on the day of production.
So whether you are in Tain in the North, Dundee in the South, Peterhead in the East or Ullapool in the West you can be assured that you are getting the freshest product available.
The Background
Founded in 1969 by John and Isabella Smith, J & I Smith opened their doors at Balvenie Street in Dufftown, Moray and quietly worked away at producing a wholesome range and selection of traditional goods.
Over the next few years they opened other shops in the North East of Scotland, at Mid Street, Keith and Castle Street, Huntly. Due to increased demand for their goods and ever more stringent hygiene laws, in 1980 they moved their centre of production to Gordon Street in Huntly.
"We have always prided ourselves on being a family bakery, producing first class products baked fresh daily." said John Smith senior. John, his son and his wife Janette are now active partners in the business aiming to continue the expansion and development of this truly family business.
